Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Garrett Internal Medicine is currently accepting new patients in Palm Coast and throughout Flagler County. Call (386) 225-4900 to schedule your first appointment.
Will I see a physician, or a nurse practitioner or physician assistant?
You will always see a board-certified physician — Dr. Patrick Garrett or Dr. Christine Garrett. We do not use nurse practitioners or physician assistants for any visits.
Can I be seen the same day if I’m sick?
Yes. We hold same-day appointments every day for our established patients. Call the office and we’ll get you in.
What is internal medicine, and what does an internist do?
Internal medicine physicians — internists — specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions that affect adults. We serve as your primary care physicians, managing your overall health, coordinating your care, and treating both everyday illnesses and long-term conditions. Just as pediatricians focus on the care of young children, internists focus on the care of adults.
What ages do you treat?
Our practice focuses on the primary care of adults, and we care for patients age 10 and older.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, we welcome Medicare patients and provide Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. Because plans and coverage vary, please call (386) 225-4900 so we can confirm the details of your specific plan.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept Medicare and most major insurance plans. Coverage and network participation can change, so please call us at (386) 225-4900 to confirm we are in-network with your plan before your visit. The plans we are in network with are listed on our insurance page.
What conditions and services do you provide?
We provide comprehensive adult primary care, including annual physicals and wellness visits, preventive care, and the ongoing management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart failure.
Do you offer telehealth or after-hours visits?
Yes. We offer after-hours virtual visits for our established patients on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Call (386) 225-4900 and press option 1; this option becomes available after 4:30 PM and during weekends and holidays.
What if I have an urgent concern?
If you are an established patient with an urgent health concern, please call us at (386) 225-4900 and we will work to see you as soon as possible. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance and Medicare cards, a list of your current medications, and any relevant medical records or recent test results from previous providers.
How do I transfer my records from my previous doctor?
We’ll give you a simple records release form to send to your previous physician, or you can bring copies of recent records and test results to your first appointment. Our staff can walk you through it — just call (386) 225-4900.
What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Where are you located, and is parking available?
Our office is at 50 Leanni Way, Suites A3-4, Palm Coast, FL 32137. We offer free on-site parking and a wheelchair-accessible entrance.

Dr. Patrick Garrett is board certified in internal medicine and fellowship-trained in nephrology, with six years of residency and fellowship training. Dr. Christine Garrett is board certified in four specialties — internal medicine, anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology — with nine years of residency and fellowship training. Both physicians personally see and care for their patients at every visit.
